Mark Di Vincenzo

I grew up without pets, but after marrying a dog lover and living with dogs for nearly 30 years, I thought I understood them. Then I visited Kosovo in 2023.

Seeing starving, limping street dogs—beautiful animals stripped of hope by abuse and neglect—changed everything. Kosovars are wonderful people, but many don’t yet understand how profoundly dogs can improve their lives. That’s where Friends of Animals International comes in.

We’re not just rescuing dogs—we’re educating communities and shifting cultural perspectives through compassion and action. As a writer and former journalist, I bring storytelling expertise and a reporter’s eye to our mission, helping communicate the powerful stories of transformation that drive people to act.

I’m honored to serve as FAI’s treasurer, ensuring our resources are managed responsibly so every dollar goes toward rescuing dogs, providing medical care, and creating lasting change in Kosovo.

When I’m not working with FAI or writing books, you’ll find me playing pickleball, traveling with my wife Jayne (FAI’s co-founder), spending time with our three grown daughters, and being thoroughly managed by our two dogs.
